Culebra 2002

Culebra 2002

The first few days in Culebra were a little gray and rainy.

That's okay though. We relaxed and snuck up on our tans.

The view from the terrace.

A neighbor.

Miller Time!

It's looking a little cloudy towards St. Thomas and Culebrita.

Sun's out! Jody positions herself for best effect while I hide inside.

A funny book or just happy to see the sun?

Blue skies at last.

Ali goes for a paddle.

The evening breeze was nice. You can see Culebrita's lighthouse in this shot.

Looking west at sunset.

Jo on Flamenco Beach

On our way into town for dinner we spotted this huge thunderhead.

Me at Tina's El Caobo waiting for my rice and beans.

Ali's happy. Steve apparently doesn't like having his picture taken.

Red Snapper, rice and beans, fried chicken and tostones!

The pictures below were taken with a disposable underwater camera.

Ali and I swimming on Culebrita's gorgeous beach. Jody supplied the toes and manned the camera

Ali shows us how to read, tan, and shade your eyes all at the same time. The Baths are out past her right hand.

The Baths.

Waves from The Atlantic surge through a break in the rocks here.

Incoming surge!

Ali seems to be enjoying herself.

Jody and Ali climbed up onto the point past The Baths...

and posed for the camera.

Me jumping into one of the baths. This one is about 6 feet deep and full of colorful fish.

The Bath drain, so to speak.

There's no getting around it. Everyone looks like a dork in snorkel gear. Can you spot the DC-3?

Steve relaxes on the "catamaran" ride back to Culebra (don't ask).

Some people's boats are bigger than others.
